Mister Moon interviewing Merlin !
Mister Moon :
how often do you write ?
Merlin :
Well, I used to write every day but since I started university I have less time, so I try to write every week. But I decided to restart like before and try to write more often
Mister Moon :
alright ! You write about boys love, right ? Do you have to put a warning before every story ?
Merlin :
No, I think if people aren’t openminded enough, that’s their problem. I only put a warning about the age of the reader, because sex scenes may shock young people
Mister Moon :
Yeah I think so too. You didn’t have any complain anyway ?
Merlin :
No I never had any problem, cause I think people who look for my site know what they’re going to read
Mister Moon :
how many stories did you write until now ?
Merlin :
Woh, too many to be really precise ! I think I wrote about 10 long stories, and then many others who were shorter
Mister Moon :
ok ! Do they all talk about Boys love ?
Merlin :
No, most of my short stories talk about other subjects. I used to be part of a writing forum and we made “duels”. We had to write a text about a precise subject and following some rules. It was really instructive
Mister Moon :
oh, were there some jury or was it the readers who said there opinion ?
Merlin :
The person who wrote the subject had to put marks, about respecting or not the rules, and the impression he or she had about the text
Mister Moon :
ok. that’s a good stimulus ^^
Merlin :
Yes. It helps to have critics
Mister Moon :
yes, i agree. So basically, were do you take all that imagination from ?
Merlin :
I don’t know, most of the time it comes out of the blue ! I found my ideas in dreams, or in some “flashes” !
Mister Moon :
O.O are you fantasizing ?
Merlin :
xD No, I swear !
Mister Moon :
mmmh i see…. ( I knew it )
Your main character have nothing in commun ? do they have some similar attitude ?
Merlin :
No, I think every character is different. At least they are around the same age, most of the time between 30 and 35
Mister Moon :
you never tried to make a story with teenager ?
Merlin :
I wrote one, that readers love, but personally I had difficulties in writing it
Mister Moon :
is it because of your age ?
Merlin :
Maybe I can’t have enough distance with teenaged characters
Mister Moon :
mmmh it’s understandable.
Does one of your story talk about love triangle ?
Merlin :
Not really, I’m not interested in this kind of story. I prefer writing on only two people, maybe because I’ve never been involved in a love triangle
Mister Moon :
I see. But in every love story, we always are confronted to one problem : jealousy.
Merlin :
Yes, and I talk about this subject in some stories, but in general the person which is jealous doesn’t really has reasons to be
Mister Moon :
well doesn’t it makes him lovely ?
Merlin :
Yes, jealousy leads to reassuring and loving declarations
Mister Moon :
^^ do you involve women sometimes ?
Merlin :
Yes of course, women who are friends most of the time, but I one story a character happened to be jealous of his boyfriend’s ex, who is a woman
Mister Moon :
Most of your characters are not gay, are they ? well in the beginnig.
Merlin :
No, before they meet THE man they nearly all think they’re heterosexual. But my opinion is that in life we can’t definitely say “I’m hetero or homosexual”, because we’re all able to be appealed by someone of our sex in our life. That’s why I don’t put my characters in boxes
Mister Moon :
I see. Well it may be interesting to see how an “heterosexual” change little by little and fight (or not) against there will
Merlin :
Yes, that’s what I found interesting in writing boy’s love. Because I make love win, and not conventions
Mister Moon :
yes. So you’re firmly against predjudice and discrimination ?
Merlin :
Completely ! And if I had to choose one cause to fight for, it’ll definitely be against homophobia
Mister Moon :
So you write because you love it and of course to put an end of discrimination ?
Merlin :
Both of these reasons. With a friend, I’ve got an idea of a novel that would describe a society where being heterosexual is considered weird and untolerable, and not being homosexual. I would like this novel, if I can make it published, to make people think of what’s wrong in our society, where people can’t be who they want to be because they’re too afraid
Mister Moon :
That’s an interexting idea. Did you put it in internet ?
Merlin :
No, it’s just an idea for the moment. I don’t have enough time to write all I want but I know I’ll write this one day
Mister Moon :
well I’ll be waiting for this !
Merlin :
Thank you !
Mister Moon :
Thank you merlin ! ^^
